Spanish company Caledonian Iberian ConeXions S.L. has recently launched a sister company, Caledonian Iberian ConeXions (UK) Ltd. under the banner ´Sustainable Tourism via Renewable Energy". The Spanish company continues to market and promote the north of Scotland and Orkney, as well as southern Spain, and has recently joined the Orkney Tourism Forum and become official suppliers to the Olympic Games 2012 and Commonwealth Games 2014 with a view to attracting visitors north during and after the Games. The UK company is aimed at promoting the
renewable energy opportunities in the area and linking them with tourism. Both the renewable energy sector and the tourism sector are big economic drivers for the north.
